I can't believe I have a son who is graduating from high school and another who is graduating preschool. The time has just flown by for the one in high school. I've been trying to rack my brain for some ideas for a gift. I saw something cute the other day. It was a graduation survival kit. It was more for a girl. It had glitter and perfume and stuff in it so maybe I can find something to make it more for my son.
A basket full of candy, snacks and water, a fan, a camera?? I don't know I'll keep thinking. Maybe make something else for the little one. I don't know I better get searching.
I want some fun ideas so I can make graduation memorable and fun for them, especially the high schooler, so if you have any ideas let me know.

I just happened across your blog. My son just graduated as well, but from college. Anyway, a friend of mine gave rolls of quarters with a laundry bag for graduation presents. I thought that might fit in your survival kit. You might put it in one of those army boxes you can get at surplus stores. That would be boyish! Good luck!

Hi there! Love your blog! My son graduated from High School last year. I actually just gave him money because he was taking a trip across the country. Some great gifts he did get at the party were pre-paid gas cards, itunes gift card, books with hand written notes. Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteHow about luggage? It was the gift I got from my godparents when I graduate high school. Great hint that you have raised him with a mind of his own and shows confidence that he is about to head out in the world.

I always struggle with gifts too. I often end up buying books but not sure a teenager would want those. What about something he could take with him when he moves out such as a crockery set or a tool kit?
